Tamer leads Nielsen’s North Africa & Levant sub-region, which includes Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. He is responsible for developing and implementing Nielsen’s business strategy for the region, while maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency, to ensure sustainable and profitable growth. Tamer started out in marketing and brand management of global consumer brands. He then moved into the telecom industry, first in Mobinil (Orange Telecom), and eventually moving to Vodafone where he spent 10 years developing skills across different disciplines from marketing to customer intelligence and strategy. Tamer holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations – Political Science from the American University in Cairo His hobbies include fencing, motorcycles and traveling.
