Joined his Family owned company in 1989 , when the food import was allowed early nineties , Omar was one of the pioneers in importing luxury food to Egypt for instance ; Hershey , Haribo , Tabasco , Keebler , Hunt Wesson ….etc . Opened a new division in the company for Inbound Tourism mainly from Scandinavia early nineties to new destinations at that time Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh with Charter Flights from Europe. Late nineties Omar finalized Sheraton Royal Gardens the hotel that his father startedbuilding but unfortunately passed away before it was the first privately owned Sheraton Hotel in Egypt since all other Sheratons where government or conglomerate owned properties.

Introduced Trianon, the first Cafe Trotoire and Bakery in Egypt in 1997 .
I ntroduced new Luxury Dinning experience with Trader Vic’s and Inaka-Ya ( first Sushibrand in the country at that time 1999 ) at the Sheraton Royal Gardens Followed by many new franchises to Egypt, like the CBTL Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, SFZ Segafredo Zanetti, Popeyes, Carnivore , Tamarind , Orchid and reached to nearly 90 stores and 2000 employees including the Factory.

In addition, Omar continued growing the business that he inherited from his father in the Airline sector, which was mainly representing 5 Companies as GSA and grew it to 10 in addition to enlarging the Ground Handling division in the airports, focusing on the Cargo division by introducing a freighter 3 times a week and finally was in the process of finalizing a local low cost private Egyptian Carrier.

The Years before the revolution of 2011 the ITC Group employed around 3500 People and Business was thriving on all levels.

After the revolution of Jan 2011 , ITC Group scaled down on all levels and exited the Real estate development from Marsa Alam owning 28% from the Development with Kharafi Group , exited the Hotel Business and Sold Sheraton Royal Gardens and closed the Trader Vics and many other famous brands and Exited the majority of Food Retail to Citadel Capital Mainly Trianon .

Currently, the Family Fund is focused on private investments within the Core Buisness Mainly in Egypt , UAE and Georgia ( Tbilisi ) Expanding the Franchises Buisness starting with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Franchise to UAE , Georgia in addition to having the rights in North Africa , while off course maintaining the main core business of aviation airport services , cargo and Airline representations in Egypt in addition to Coffee bean & Tea Leaf and FatBurger in the Food Buisness .

2016 Omar added as the latest investment in Egypt , just launched the call center to handle GCC countries and already finalizing agreement as a logistics company with major Egyptian institutions starting the operations July 1st excepting 100,000 packages per month by December 2016 .

Samsung C & T signed an agreement with Omar June 2015 to be the agents for Samsung projects in Egypt mainly focusing on trains , signaling systems and smart meters since the Egyptian government is rebuilding all infra structure post revolution of 2011 .

The current Group employees after exiting from several investments mentioned above has scaled down to approximately 1000 person .

In 2017, Omar is planning to move his HQ to Dubai ( While keeping the back of the house in Egypt ) to control new expansions in the MENA Region and Central Europe ( Caucasian ).
