Ph.D, is a professor of practice and former head of the Journalism and Mass Communication Department (JRMC) at The American University in Cairo (AUC).

Dr. Mervat Abou Oaf, a practicing professor and former head of the Department of Journalism and Media at the American University in
Cairo. She obtained a doctorate from the University of Ato and Noma, Spain, in order to legislate the film industry.
She specializes in media law and legislation, and she is a consultant to the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Film Industry Chamber.
